1. How do I get assistant?
There are several ways to get your own copy of assistant.

2. Is there a cost for assistant? Why so little??
There is a $4.95 one-time charge for assistant, though you have 15 days full use of the service before you need to complete the registration and payment process. You may find the cost lower on eBay (it’s an auction after all). Some of our distribution partners may also provide assistant at lower or no cost as there own promotional offer to valued customers and associates. (Return to top)
3. How does assistant work?
assistant sits quietly on your PC looking through an envelope of information it received from the main assistant server. Like a good assistant, it politely announces it has something you might like. If you click on its announcement panel, assistant will show you what it has found for you. (Return to top)
4. What if I do not like assistant?
You can uninstall assistant easily. If you have any problems, we are here to answer your questions.

Our product experience, service experience and every interaction that we facilitate, is designed around respect for the buyer, convenience for the buyer and seller and effectiveness of the advertising and the search assistance we facilitate. 5. How do I use assistant with AOL?
We currently do not support AOL in "native mode". AOL also seems to be blocking all activation emails from getassistant.com with no explanation. We are working with AOL support to resolve this issue. If you wish to use assistant with AOL access in the meantime, please start up a separate MS Internet Explorer browser after starting assistant. When you browse using the IE software that comes with windows, the assistant will deliver relevant and timely offers to you. Please understand that this is a temporary situation till we resolve AOL issues.

1. Is assistant spyware?
No. It is an opt-in shopping service that offers users a way to shop more effectively and collect more Reward Points. assistant does NOT use cookies and does NOT associate or store web usage data or search information with any personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address or other contact information. If you wish, you can turn off assistant at any time with a single click. (Return to top)
2. Is assistant adware?
No. assistant delivers relevant information in response to a user’s desire to see certain information. Unlike adware systems, an assistant user consciously downloads the installation file onto his/her PC and, after reading the assistant privacy policy and license agreement, s/he completes software installation and begins registration. assistant is more similar to a search tool than to adware. 3. How does assistant know what I am searching for?
assistant is built on two basic principles: Respect for your privacy and actions initiated only with your permission. Thus, when you are searching anywhere on the Web, our patent pending technology enables your PC to scan an envelope of offers that is updated each time you log on to assistant. If an offer is relevant to you at that moment assistant will pull it up and signal you in the way you have chosen to be notified by the option settings in assistant. This comparison of offers and your search terms is done on your PC, the search information is NOT sent back to our servers or anywhere else off your PC. (Return to top)
4. Does assistant track my search habits
No. We never track your movements on the internet. assistant is not engineered - and thus is not able -to collect a trail of internet URL use associated with any individual user. (Return to top)
5. Will assistant divulge information about me?
assistant will never divulge information about any specific user to an advertiser, merchant, seller or other third party. Advertisers are provided with aggregate information on the number of shoppers who saw an ePostcard and the percentage of those who further went to the offer but never any specific shopper/browser information. 6. How do I control access to my information?
When you purchase and download assistant and register for the shopping service, you choose an assistant user ID and password. Each time you login to the service, you input your user ID and password into the assistant login panel and the assistant server confirms the correct combination of user id and password to grant access to the service. You may choose to have the login process remember your identity if you choose. (Return to top)

3. How do I redeem my Reward Points?
You can redeem your points by clicking on the “redeem points” button at the top of your assistant notebook. The options currently available to you to choose from are shown on the Shoppers’ Redemption page on this website, but remember that you will need a minimum of 3,500 Reward Points to obtain a redemption award. Once you have reached this level you may convert points in blocks of 100. (Return to top)
4. Can I customize assistant?
Yes. Open your assistant Notebook and click the “Preferences” tab. You will find several ways customize your assistant. If it doesn’t behave the way you want it to, please click “Help” and click on “Feedback” to let us know. (Return to top)
5. Can I store my offers? What happens when offers “expire”?
Yes, your assistant Notebook is set up so that you can create folders to organize, categorize and store your ePostcard offers until you are ready to use them. When offers expire, assistant automatically moves them to your trash folder and deletes them. (Return to top)
6. Can I set an alert for particular wanted items?
Yes. For example if assistant has no offers for “Kitchen Tiles” now you can use assistant’s Wish List feature to keep your assistant on the lookout for deals on “Kitchen Tiles,” or any other items you may be interested in. Just install assistant and enter the search words in your Wish List. (Return to top)
