FOR assistant™  SOFTWARE
assistant™  is committed to your privacy!

KnowledgeFlow, Inc. is the company that developed and operates assistant, the permission-based desktop advertising tool that connects Internet search with reward programs.

  1. We are absolutely committed to your privacy and to maintaining the assistant service in complete conformity with privacy best practices. KnowledgeFlow will not in anyway use your personal information for unsolicited marketing efforts targeted by name, street address or email id. KnowledgeFlow will not sell, loan or in anyway make available to any third party, your personal information. If you see or perceive that KnowledgeFlow is using personally identifiable information in a manner that causes you discomfort, please email your concerns to privacy@getassistant.com. Our goal is to provide you a valuable service in a manner that demonstrates respect for your privacy.

  1. KnowledgeFlow does not (a) associate or store web usage data with any personal information or other contact information, nor (b) analyze such web usage data or search information to determine the identity of any assistant user. Any information that can be linked to an individual assistant user is limited to information required to ensure that the user is credited with the appropriate reward points for viewing ePostcards™ and/or purchasing goods/services and that such credits can be audited to ensure fair business practices.

  2. You can uninstall  assistant at any time through the standard windows uninstall program.

  3. You can temporarily turn off assistant from running by right clicking on the @ in the toolbar and selecting quit.

  4. assistant uses information about the web pages you view while using assistant software to determine which ePostcards™ to display in your  assistant notebook.

  5. assistant will offer rewards for purchase at certain online merchants (e.g.: buy $150 worth of winter merchandise this month and get double points!). In order to ensure that you are awarded the promised reward points for purchases at these web sites, the merchant may drop a cookie on your machine. This cookie is used to inform assistant that you have purchased at this site and that we need to award you (for example) the double points. Your personal identity is encrypted and the merchant will have no access to your information in the assistant personal profile. That information is solely used by  assistant to match relevant offers with your interests.

  6. assistant will offer rewards for in-store purchases at certain merchants. These rewards are granted only if you register with assistant the credit card(s) (up to 5 cards) used in the purchase.  This information is stored in your profile which you can change at any time.  assistant only stores the credit card number – no expiration date nor the Card Verification Value (the last 3 digits on the back, above your signature) which are both required for a credit card transaction. This is in keeping with our policy of total respect for your privacy while enabling assistant to provide valuable service.
